Steve Hubbard is the founding pastor of Awaken Church in Grand Ledge, Michigan. Steve, and his wife, Courtney, and their energetic kids (Natalie, Isaiah and Faith) planted Awaken Church in 2016 with the hopes of it becoming a life-giving community of faith. Awaken is part of the Greenhouse Church Planting Network—a Wesleyan group of churches dedicated to transforming ZIP codes through discipleship and church multiplication. Awaken is committed to cultivating the potential of the gospel both locally and regionally. In its first year, they housed a church planting resident and commissioned him to plant an urban church in the heart of Lansing, Michigan. Hubbard has a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Church Planting Certificate through Wesley Seminary.
